The Great Lakes are the largest System of fresh‐water lakes in the World. As such, they offer opportunities for virtually unlimited supplies of fresh water to their region, provided the water is properly treated for reuse. Managing this fresh‐water System is one of the challenges to the water‐utility industry today.
