The growing accent on safety will be generating more fire‐fighting systems within industry. Commensurate emergency water needs—to be satisfied by water utilities—will also increase. This article describes an up‐to‐date industrial fire‐fighting system and, thereby serves two purposes: it is a model for safety installations of its type; it serves as a reference for utility managers who must expand capacity to meet fire‐fighting needs.
