The Ball and Cone Valve Com. was reorganized 2 yr ago. Its purpose: to start fresh in order to determine more objectively what was needed in the way of ball and cone valve standards. The first question it asked was, “What is the purpose of a standard?” The details followed, and the committee expects to have a standard available later this year.
