There is no argument as to the need for additional supplies of potable water. Not only has the US population increased, but, as civilization advances, the per capita need for water advances also. To meet the problem, man can assist nature in several ways—by conservation of natural rain and snowfall, by augmentation of precipitation through cloud seeding, and by desalting of brackish waters.
