In June 1970 the Journal AWWA (Vol. 62, No.6) published a paper, “Backflow Prevention and Cross‐Connection Control”, and listed Gustave J. Angele Sr. as its author. Subsequent information provided to the Journal by Roy O. Van Meter, and confirmed by Mr. Angele, revealed that this paper had been originated by Mr. Van Meter and that credit for its authorship should have been accorded to him. The Journal AWWA regrets inadvertently contributing to this unfortunate incident and offers this statement to redress the wrong it feels has been done to Mr. Van Meter.
