Since leaks in a water distribution system may cause a major loss of revenue, the conscientious operator must be aware of the need for detecting them. This need, and methods of detection, are examined in this joint discussion presented on May 21, 1969, at the Annual Conference, San Diego, by Robert O. Waller, Richard D. Hawes, and William D. Hudson.
