From the first fluoridation of a New York State water supply in 1945, the benefits of fluoridation have spread now to encompass the vast majority of New York's population. The cost and convenience of fluoridation varies according to local conditions, but data are available to allow communities planning fluoridation to project estimated costs for their particular situations.
