This article discusses new management techniques such as objective planning constructed around a pattern of inquiry, and basing management decisions on validated knowledge about what motivates people today. The article analyzes three sources from which assumptions about people are formed, recruiting the type of personnel with the correct skill sets, team work successes, preparing managers to meet the challenges of the future, sensitivity training, and flexible guidelines for implementing career plans.
