This article discusses four natural groundwater reservoir systems in western Kentucky and Tennessee, which have the capacity to store at least a 40‐year supply protected from any loss and from most forms of damage. The technical information presented in this article was obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 448, which reports on the Mississippi Embayment Project, under the direction and supervision of E. M. Cushing.
