This article contains a tribute to W. Chester Morse, Superintendent of the Seattle Water Department, that recounts some facts and incidents from his life. During his more than eleven years as water superintendent, Morse was an ardent supporter of the American Water Works Association and participated in both the Pacific Northwest Section meetings and the Association meetings. Over the years, he served successively as trustee, chairman, and director of the Pacific Northwest Section, and was selected as the George W. Fuller Awardee by the Pacific Northwest Section.
