This article presents a summary of the 1962 U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Inventory of Municipal Water Facilities in Communities of 25,000 or More. The inventory includes 781 communities of 25,000 or more served by water supply facilities, an increase of 153 communities, almost 25 per cent more than in 1960. The number of water supply facilities included in the inventory is 905, an increase of 199 from 1960.
