This article discusses the development of a commercially available microcoulometric gas chromatographic instrument that makes it possible to detect and estimate pesticide residues in 1‐liter water samples at concentrations as low as 25‐50 ng/l. The extraction of larger volumes will permit the estimation of lower concentrations. The article presents the actual procedure.
