This article discusses a split‐flow process used by a treatment plant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to remove iron and manganese from the water. By the proper selection of new wells, and by the maintenance of a reasonable balance between the volumes supplied by the two water sources, this process can be utilized for many years.
