This short summary presents a study at the Lawrence (Massachusetts) Experiment Station on nematodes found in the Merrimack River. Trends that were detected included: a larger proportion of raw samples contained nematodes during the summer months; and, during these months there was a larger number of samples with more than one nematode per gallon. In all instances, no nematodes could be found in the finished water.
