This article discusses a program to add artificial fluorides to Puerto Rico's water supply. Government funding for the program is discussed, along with initiation of the program in metropolitan San Juan, and then expansion of the program into rural areas, the use of fluoride feeders at treatment plants, chemicals used, fluoride‐ion concentrations, control of the fluoride level, program supervision, and program results.
