This article presents guidelines for underwater repairs and inspections that involve divers. The guidelines are related to the scope of the job, the staffing of a dive crew, necessary equipment, bidding a job, regulations and industry standards for commercial diving, insurance requirements for commercial diving, evaluating a diving contractor, and developing a well‐written report.
