This article discusses the growing momentum of seawater desalination using reverse osmosis (SWRO) within the U.S. drinking water industry. Ongoing challenges continue to plague the industry and several are discussed in this article including: water quality, environmental concerns, intake and discharge alternatives, corrosion control, permeate distribution, and regulatory compliance.
