In order to ensure delivery of the freshest, highest quality water to its customers, the Peterborough, Ontario Water Treatment Plant conducted a tracer study, using fluoride as a tracer. The article discusses why a tracer study was used, the difference between chemical and fluoride tracers, and how the study was done. A list of further sources of information is provided.
