This article reports on an innovative method that accurately measures inside pipe diameter. It is an in situ tracer testing technique that uses vitamin C as the tracer and takes into account non‐uniform deposits on the pipe wall over the entire length of the pipeline. The article describes the Eugene (Oregon) Water & Electric Board's experience using this tracer method.
