“To obtain the most effective and efficient treatment, this article discusses how water supply managers should choose the appropriate type of carbon for their water, use the correct dose of powdered activated carbon (PAC), and consider the various factors that influence PAC dose. Doses required for the removal of MIB and cost estimates for prolonged PAC dosing are given. An action plan for effective PAC treatment is outlined.”
