This article describes how the Public Works Department of the City of Conover, North Carolina, converted their meter‐reading system to an automated system (AMR). They also replaced all 3/4 inch meters with new positive displacement meters, which would be beneficial in the continued evaluation of the new AMR system and possibly increase sales revenues by providing more accurate readings.
