This article describes an air blower dump valve to prevent the rush of blower air from disrupting the clarifier media. Installed on the blower discharge plumbing, this device remains open when the blower is not in operation. When the blower turns on, approximately 90 percent of the air supply is vented to the atmosphere. Materials, costs, construction, tools needed, and use are discussed.
