A particle monitor exhibits sufficient detection sensitivity for particles in the Giardia and Cryptosporidium size ranges. This technique can be used to continuously monitor settled and filtered water and measure particle removal efficiency. Using the particle monitor for continuous measurement of filter efficiency provides a cost effective, simple method to measure water quality.
