Distribution system maintenance, which is generally taken for granted by most customers, is one of the more challenging budget line items. Budget decisions are easier when they are based on complete and easily understood data. Remember, these records only show distribution requirements; they do not reflect customer satisfaction. There is no amount of money that can be budgeted to reflect the satisfaction of time saved, a job well done, and a community that trusts its drinking water supply is dependable and safe.
