The uses and capabilities of computers continue to grow at an exponential rate. Operators can conduct well field modeling, develop “what if” scenarios involving plant operations, perform chemical usage studies and cost and productivity analyses, and a wide variety of other tasks. There is no doubt that by training operators to fully use computer technology, you will improve your overall plant operations. Learning how to use a computer is not difficult; in fact, it can be fun and quite satisfying. Many operators train themselves or attend evening classes. City of Pasco supervisors encourage operators to learn about computers with tuition reimbursement for completed classes. The cost of computer training is rapidly repaid by the employee's increased productivity and morale.
