To ensure uninterrupted and consistent fluoride feed, proper maintenance of equipment is required. Like any other mechanical device, fluoride feeders must be kept clean and lubricated if they are to perform their function efficiently. A regular maintenance program will also minimize costly breakdowns and ensure long life for the equipment. A program similar to the system recommended in AWWA's Maintenance Management, is described in the article.
