Several types of water and wastewater calculations, such as percent suspended solids removal, percent solids content of a sludge, and even pump or motor efficiency, are based on the concept of percent. Review of converting percents to fractions or decimal numbers, converting decimal numbers to percents, and converting fractions to percents is presented.
