If customers are without water for an extended period of time, they justifiably feel the quality of their water service is unsatisfactory. Actions taken include: developing an availability schedule; using outside assistance; inventory maintenance; preventive maintenance; valve‐exercising program; automated mapping; and continuous improvement.
