The complete text of the final Phase V rule was published in the Federal Register on July 17, 1992. This article reviews the following information for the 23 compounds regulated in Phase V (5 inorganic chemicals [IOCs] and 18 synthetic organic chemicals [SOCs], including 9 pesticides and 3 volatile organic chemicals [VOCs]): maximum contaminant level goals (MCLGs); maximum contaminant levels (MCLs); monitoring, analytical methods, reporting, and public information requirements; and best available technology (BAT) for contaminant removal. Much of the information is given in tables.
