Personal protective equipment must be accessible to employees and stored in a designated location. It must be protected and routinely checked to ensure that it can perform its function. But sometimes workers become careless and leave equipment in poor condition. Often it is scattered about because so many different people use it. To help reduce the clutter, the author designed an ammonia safety equipment cabinet. The cabinet's only purpose is to store the personal protective equipment required for the utility's treatment chemical rooms. The cabinets are mounted in designated areas for easy accessibility by plant employees. Materials and instructions for construction are included.
