This article describes the use and construction of a valve box jet which is uses an air‐jet to clean valve boxes easily and inexpensively. The jet works on a vortex principle; air is forced to the top of the jet creating a suction at the bottom that pulls dirt out of the box. The jet has fingers cut into the bottom that aid in loosening dirt.
