A wheeled meter stand was developed by an operator in Santa Maria, California, for use in the meter repair shop. The stand provides the meter with its own support structure during repair and testing, and the stand elevates the meter, which enables the repair person to perform all repair work at a convenient height. Elevating the meter also eliminates the danger of lifting with a bent back when removing the upper half of the meter.
