Small water meter pits and low meter yoke settings present serious problems for meter service personnel. Some service personnel may have difficulty reaching the meter setting. To avoid the problem, a 32‐inch wood clamp and duckbill clamp attached to a 3/4 inch by 1/4 inch by 4 foot strap are used to set water meters.
