This month's feature consists of two tools. A valve box cleaner, constructed from a shovel cut in half and bent to fit inside a valve box, is used to remove dirt, gravel, sand, and small rocks. A hud valve wrench, made from a hud wrench fitted with a square fire hydrant coupling, allows the user to reach any depth of buried valve in the entire Kennewick, Washington system for which it was designed.
