With the implementation of the Safe Drinking Water Act, water quality laboratories will be required to undertake more monitoring and analyses of water. In order to keep costs down while maintaining efficiency, several pieces of equipment which have multiple uses can be purchased. Equipment discussed includes the jar machine, the pH meter, turbidity meters, colorimeters, atomic absorption units, and the gas chromatograph.
