The temperature of a chlorine container, the surrounding room temperature, and cylinder size must be taken into consideration before withdrawal of chlorine gas. At a temperature of 65 degrees fahrenheit, the maximum desirable rate of withdrawal is about 40 lbs/day for 150‐lb cylinders and about 450 lbs/day for 2000‐lb containers.
