Illus. 1962.—A silicified stem 11 ft long from the Upper Jurassic of the Henry Mountains region of southern Utah resembles the South African and South American Upper Triassic genus Rhexoxylon , except for the absence of anomalously developed vascular tissue in the pith. It is described as Hermanophyton kirkbyorum gen. et sp. nov.
