Michael White's and David Epston's Narrative Therapy Approach, has stimulated a great deal of interest amongst practitioners both in Australia and overseas. While creative use of language is a cornerstone of the approach, this can also act as a barrier to therapists' attempts to understand and apply the model This paper focuses on the essential aspects and core dimensions underlying White's Narrative Approach. Utilising the analogy of a dance, a practice grid will be described to highlight key therapy steps .
