Dear Dr. Brown:David Nash has given us much to reflect on in his perspectives article, “Ethics, Empathy, and the Education of Dentists,” which appeared in the June 2010 issue of the Journal of Dental Education (vol. 74, no. 6, pp. 567–78). He calls out writers in evolutionary biology and
