The Vitamin Requirements of Rainbow Trout (Salmo gairdneri) A sufficient supply of vitamins is of major importance in Salmonidae feeding. Therefore considerable amounts of vitamins must be added to complete mixed feed for rainbow trout. The author gives a survey of the function of the various vitamins in the organism and describes the vitamin deficiency symptoms found on Salmonidae, especially on rainbow trout. Finally, recommendations are given for the vitaminization of mixed feed for rainbow trout.
