The seminal thoughts of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung on the mechanism of the psyche's creative powers are given a representation which enables the design of a simulatable model for brainstorming. the model is implemented in Fortran and is illustrated with five examples. One of these examples is taken from a patient of Freud, one from a problem encountered by the author in writing this article, and the remaining three from a sample of hypothetical problems to be solved via brainstorming. the model recommends solutions to the defining problem by synthesizing elementary English phrases and sentences. In general, multiple recommendations are given for each problem. the coded model is small enough to be run on a personal computer.
