This special issue contains five papers related to technologies for decision making and AI applications. The first one is about fuzzy clustering, and the other four are on applications of AI technologies in the Internet. The issue is started by Szilagyi with a paper on clustering. The paper introduces a novel fuzzy-possibilistic shell clustering model to detect multidimensional spheroids in the presence of outlier data. The second paper by Xia, Li, and Shan focuses on the fusion of multi-sensor data and its application to intelligent transportation systems. The third paper by Foley and Navarro-Arribas describes a model for decentralized authorization mechanism. Their approach uses Bloom filters. This paper is followed by another one by Perez-Solá and Herrera-Joancomartı́ on crawlers for online social networks. The paper analyzes different scheduler algorithms for Web crawlers and evaluates their performance in terms of how useful they are to pursue a set of different adversary goals. The issue is concluded by a paper by Juárez and Torra that describes an agent that has as its main goal ensuring the privacy of the user with respect to a search engine. The editors of this volume want to thank the referees for their work on the reviews, and also to the editor of the journal, Prof. R. R. Yager, for his support with this special issue.
