This article discusses how custom system/software order request for quote (RFQ) responses are being supported via the Net by requirements driven e‐SE processes. These e‐SE processes couple traditional SE development point tool solutions with enterprise level collaborative product commerce (CPC) tool solutions to manage the custom system/software order RFQ bid process. This marriage of traditional SE and software development, application tool solutions with CPC solutions is coined “e‐Product Lifecycle Management (e‐PLM).”
