The cover picture reflects the significant, recent advances in the chemistry of imaging probes used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). With these sensitive technologies it is now possible to monitor specific interactions between various components inside biological environments. This special issue covers the most significant advances in the field and the consequences to MRI‐based diagnostics.
