The cover image celebrates the 25th anniversary of the pioneering work of Ching W. Tang on organic electronic devices. The cake is layered according to the structure of a hybrid bulk heterojunction photovoltaic device, in which a mixture of two organic materials is sandwiched between two oxide layers. Incorporating oxide layers in organic optoelectronic devices offers an array of options for optimizing both organic light‐emitting diodes and photovoltaic devices and has fascinating implications on device physics, as discussed in the review by Vaynzof et al.
