The cover picture shows the molecular structure of maitotoxin, its producer organism (dinoflagellate Gambierdiscustoxicus ), and its carrier (surgeonfish Ctenochaetusstriatus ). With a molecular weight of 3422 Daltons, 32 rings, and 99 elements of isomerism, maitotoxin is the largest and most complex secondary metabolite known to date. (Image credits.
