The cover picture shows the ribosome 50S subunit on a fungal background. Represented fungi, Clitopilus scyphoides, produce antibiotics of the pleuromutilin family. Pleuromutilins „moving“ into the ribosome Peptidyl Binding Centre (PTC) are also shown.
