T 1 and T 2 2 H‐NMR relaxation times have been measured for 2 H‐labelled phosphatidylcholine in the aqueous solution phase of the ternary system lecithin–sodium cholate–water. In this phase aggregates are formed by a mixture of cholate and lecithin. Information about the dimension of these micellar aggregates has been obtained from a simple model of the relaxation times in which two modes of molecular motion are considered. The results obtained accord well with recent investigations using laser‐light scattering techniques.
