Measurements of the nitrogen‐14 and deuterium quadrupolar splittings in NH 4 NO 3 and (CH 3 ) 4 N NO 3 dissolved in the disodiumcromoglycate–water liquid crystalline system are presented. Nitrogen‐14 T 1 values in aqueous solutions for these salts are also given. The results are discussed and compared with similar studies on solutes containing 14 N in ordered media.
