The current—voltage response of single and multiscreen electrodes for a limited range of electrolyte flow velocities is described. The short and long term stability of the single screen electrodes and their performance under a variety of operating conditions were determined. The multiscreen electrode was next examined to determine resistances within the cell, which were then exploited for the interpretation of current distributions and concentration profiles obtained with the multiscreen electrode operating in the rear or the frontal supply mode.
